About Marcela

Hi, I am Marcela, the designer and creator of Gold and Grace Designs.

I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and grow my relationship with him each day. He has walked with me before I even knew he was there. It took 30 years to truly know him and trust him. He has healed my wounds, led me as a mother, wife, friend, neighbor, daughter and leader. His word has filled my heart and continues to guide my way. I don't deserve His love and have done nothing to earn it, but I accept it.

My journey in design started in 2019, when I felt God tugging on my heart to stay home with my kids and leave my career in dental hygiene. As I cared for my kids I began to take notice of the lack of character in my home and began to unleash a creative side of me I didn't know existed. As I began to explore Pinterest and Instagram, I grew determined to "do it myself"! I had a list of projects to do and after just a few my husband said" listen, you can do what you want to the house, but I'm not helping"! I happily agreed! I have learned to use a miter saw, table saw, metal saw, nail gun, drill, paint, weld etc. From there I started to be asked by friends, family and neighbors to help beautify their homes.

Along with running Gold and Grace Designs, I homeschool my 3 children.  God continues to write His story.
